Hundreds of Egyptians and foreigners attended the phenomenon of the sun falling perpendicularly over the face of King Ramses II in his famous temple, in the historic city of Abu Simbel, south of Aswan.
The sun falls over the statue of Ramses II in the Abu Simbel temple twice a year, on February 22 and October 22. The event is held for the second time without an audience, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
