Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education Ayman Ashour on Sunday visited The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) headquarters in Paris and emphasized the significance of cooperating with the organization in the field of higher education and scientific research.
The meeting comes within the framework of efforts to enhance the quality of higher education and academic research. He pointed out to the launch of The National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research for 2030.
Ashour hailed the mutual cooperation between his country and the organization, noting that the ministry has always been keen to benefit from the different policies of the experienced international organizations in the higher education and scientific research fields.
Secretary-General at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Andreas Schleicher expressed his appreciation for what Egypt has accomplished in the file of higher education starting from increasing number of universities to developing students’ personal skills needed in labor market.
