A high-profile source on Monday denied Israeli reports about the existence of functioning tunnels between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.
AlQahera News channel quoted the source as saying that Israel’s failure to achieve any success in Gaza pushes it to spread allegations about the existence of functioning tunnels to justify its continued aggression against the Palestinian enclave.
He asserted that Israel did not give evidence for the existence of functioning tunnels on Gaza borders, noting the Israeli government spreads false allegations to achieve political purposes.
The source said Israel turns a blind eye to smuggling weapons from its soil to the West Bank in order to find a justification for seizing the lands of the West Bank and committing more killings and genocidal crimes against Palestinians.
