The Egyptian Cabinet’s Media Center denied rumors which claimed that Egypt will experience new epidemic waves within the upcoming period.
In a statement Sunday, the center said it contacted the Health and Population Ministry, which totally denied such reports, asserting that they are baseless and bare of truth.
It further stressed that the health situation in Egypt is completely reassuring and stable and that there are no epidemic diseases in any of the governorates across the country.
All precautionary measures are taken at Egyptian airports and ports to prevent the spread of any disease, it further said.
The media center, meanwhile, urged all media outlets to seek accuracy and objectivity before publishing news, advising them to contact bodies concerned so as to avoid sparking panic among students and parents and disrupting public order.
