CAIRO – The Cabinet’s media centre denied reports about postponing mid-term exams in anticipation of an increase in Covid-19 infections.
The centre said in a statement on Monday it communicated with the Education and Technical Education Ministry, which refuted the news as groundless.
All mid-term exams will be held on schedule, the statement said, adding they will start on January 15 with all precautionary and preventive measures being applied to protect against coronavirus.
Such reports are meant to disrupt public order and trigger outrage, it said.
It urged all citizens not to be deceived by such reports and to immediately contact the ministry if they have any query.
