Secretary General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Alaa Ezz asserted the stability of prices and availability of goods in large quantities in the local market.
In a statement Monday, Ezz confirmed the return of prices of fodder to normal.
At the behest of the prime minister, the Federation and the Chamber of Food Industries are cooperating with producers and importers of foodstuffs to assess production supplies in factories and basic commodities to determine priorities of clearing shipments at ports, he said.
The move is meant to provide a stockpile that is sufficient for a minimum of two months to help factories work with full capacity to ensure provision of all goods and stability of prices in markets, he added.
The state has a strategic stockpile of basic and supply goods that is enough for about four to six months, according to him.
