Naser Fellowship for International Leadership organised a visit on Saturday morning to the Giza Pyramids so that the participants meet one of the global seven wonders.
The youth delegations participating in the third batch of Nasser fellowship visited the Giza and Sakara pyramids area to see the archaeological sites, and the three pyramids and Sphinx. They also took memorial photos at the Panorama area.
They expressed their great happiness to visit such ancient treasures and the grandeur of the pyramids.
For their part, a large number of participants tweeted on their personal accounts on social media, praising the fellowship and the warm welcoming.
They hailed Egypt’s role in assembling this large number of young people with the aim of enriching them with principles of leadership.
“I wondered how ancient Egyptians built great pyramids thousands of years ago with the absence of current equipment and technology,” Kobla, a participant from Ghana, told The Egyptian Gazette.
He added “it’s great pleasure to know more about the Egyptian pharos era. I will tell my people about it, recommending Egypt as a tourist destination.”
Meanwhile, Hassan Ghazali, general coordinator of the fellowship, pointed out that such historical visits and tours aim at introducing youth delegates to the most important tourist and archaeological areas of the Egyptian civilization.
The fellowship programme included visits to the museum of the late leader Gamal Abdel Nasser, The Egyptian House of Representatives, the Police Academy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, and the Pyramids, along with many other areas scheduled to be visited in the coming days.
