German Agency for International Co-operation (GIZ) asserted its support to the female entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector in Minya governorate via launching business incubators to support and boost entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector and promoting the role of women in the agricultural rural communities.
In a statement on Facebook on Monday, GIZ said that a program is implemented for empowering women in the rural communities to develop their private business future and contribute to developing their communities.
The program targets working on improving the ideas of the female entrepreneurs on understanding the market, boosting the competitive advantage, analyzing the market challenges and establishing work model for their projects, GIZ added.
The program presents training and guidance to the entrepreneurs to help them improve their skills and knowledge in the fields of marketing, finance and business management, the statement said.
More than 150 female entrepreneurs participated in the first phase of the program via a workshop that continued for ten days, it said, adding that 30 ideas will be selected to receive support and guidance for six months during the business incubator period.
