Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has stressed, yet again, Egypt’s full solidarity with Lebanon and non-stop support in such difficult situation.
Egypt is willing to meet all humanitarian, food and medical needs of the Lebanese people in the face of the heinous and oppressive Israeli aggression on their lands, Abdelatty said in a press conference during his visit to Beirut Wednesday.
“I came to the Lebanese lands with a message of support and solidarity from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the government, leadership and people of Lebanon,” he told reporters.
Reaching a ceasefire that would unconditionally end the aggression on Lebanon is a top priority that Egypt works to achieve, the foreign minister said.
Abdelatty said he met with speaker of the Lebanese parliament Nabih Berri earlier today and discussed the latest developments in Lebanon during this difficult period.
The top diplomat said he is visiting Beirut to also deliver a shipment of humanitarian aid as part of an Egyptian airlift with Lebanon as it confronts the Israeli aggression and deals with repercussions of displacement in the south of the country.
