CAIRO – Egyptian Emigration Minister Nabila Makram has praised efforts by the Ministry of Military Production in support of the “Egypt Can” conference, which is meant to benefit from the expertise of Egyptian expats and settle the different industries in Egypt.
Makram said co-operation between her Ministry and the Military Production Ministry comes in line with directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to secure jobs for youth and fight illegal immigration.
In a meeting with Minister of Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsy, Makram talked about the sixth edition of the “Egypt Can” conference, which focused on industry, including green industry and digital technology.
The Military Production Ministry has shown interest in contributing to the “Egypt Can with Industry” conference.
The meeting also took up means of boosting industrial financing and opening new markets in Africa, as well as benefiting from the know-how of foreign companies.
Experts will be taking part in all sessions of the conference, Makram noted.
Morsy, for his part, said his Ministry is keen on implementing directives of Sisi with the aim to maximise the contribution of scientists and expats to state development plans.
