Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Kamel el-Wazir toured on Friday work sites for the first line of the country’s electric high-speed train project (Ain Sokhna – El-Alamein – Marsa Matrouh).
El-Wazir has said the electric high-speed train network will cover all over the country serving new and existing urban and industrial areas, such as Helwan, 15th of May, Burg El-Arab, 6th of October, New Minya, New Assiut, and other industrial areas.
The new project is a new type of rail passenger transportation that is faster and more comfortable than a regular train by making a design that allows trains to run at speeds of 250 km/h.
