CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Agriculture el Sayyed el Qussair has praised the Agricultural Research Center (ARC) efforts that placed it fourth in the list of the best research centers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
This list includes centers working in various research fields, the minister said, noting that Egypt’s ARC ranked first among agricultural research centers in the region.
In press statements on Friday, the minister said that this success is dedicated to all researchers and people working at the Ministry of Agriculture and the ARC.
He said that such ranking comes as a result of collective work of the ARC-affiliated institutes and labs, adding that it represents a new opportunity to encourage researchers to build on such success in the coming years.
This also reflects the successful vision of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to constantly support the agricultural scientific research with the aim to achieve food security, he said.
Qussair also congratulated the head of the Desert Research Center, its researchers and workers after the center was named among the best research centers in North Africa and the Middle East by Spain’s SCIMGO Institutions Rankings.
