Egypt’s International Cooperation Minister Rania Mashat asserted Egypt’s official accession to BRICS group is very important to develop the country’s relations with emerging economies.
The move is also meant to promote cooperation with the new development bank that Egypt joins this year, added Mashat at a lecture Thursday.
The Egyptian official pointed out to the ministry’s role in boosting cooperation with Asian countries and tapping new vistas of economic cooperation with China, India, Singapore, Japan and South Korea and other countries.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is very keen on applying accurate governance rules to obtain developmental financing, said the minister.
