Egyptian veteran comedian dies of coronavirus

Egyptian veteran actor Samir Ghanem died on Thursday at the age of 84, his daughter’s husband confirmed in his official Facebook page. The late actor contracted coronavirus in late April.

Ghanem was admitted into a Cairo hospital in April to receive treatment, accompanied by his wife, actress Dalal Abdel Aziz, after they were infected with the coronavirus pandemic.

Ghanem was in a critical condition.
