The Egyptian parliament gave its final approval, in its plenary session on Monday, to a draft law submitted by the government to amend some provisions of the Income Tax Law.
Such important amendments aim to attain social justice and come in accordance with the state’s action strategy for raising minimum wages.
The bill is also aiming to support investors and remove any obstacles facing them.
The draft law stipulated raising the limit of personal exemptions on salaries annually to EGP 36,000 instead of EGP 24,000.
