Deputy Prime Minister for industrial development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir conferred with a World Bank delegation under WB Country Director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti Stephane Guimbert.
The meeting was meant to follow up on the progress realized so far in implementing a number of current projects in the fields of industry and transport.
Wazir lauded the fruitful cooperation between both sides in implementing a number of joint projects which serve the Egyptian citizens, highlighting the major development in the transport sector in Egypt and the implementation of an urgent plan to upgrade the Egyptian industry to transform Egypt to a regional industrial hub under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Both sides followed up on the latest developments of a number of joint projects in the field of transport, including a three-stage project for developing trade logistics between Cairo and Alexandria (CATLDP) which is funded by the World Bank.
For his part, Guimbert expressed happiness with cooperaiton with the Egyptian government to implement a number of important projects in the different fields of transport, asserting the importance of these projects to contribute to achieving development in Egypt.
