CAIRO – Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maeet and his UAE counterpart Mohamed Hadi Al-Hussaini have underscored the need to maximise Arab integration to face current economic challenges and alleviate citizens’ suffering.
The ministers’ remarks came on Saturday on the sidelines of their participation at the World Government Summit, currently held in Dubai.
Both ministers reviewed the global economic developments within the framework of their keenness to enhance co-operation between Egypt and the UAE in all domains since both countries have historic and deeply-rooted ties.
The ministers also probed the repercussions of Covid-19 and the negative effect of the Ukrainian crisis on the global economy.
Maeet stressed that Egypt’s economic reform programs have contributed to overcome such challenges.
