Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri and his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between Egypt and Indonesia in the coming period in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
In a phone call on Wednesday , the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in regional issues, including the developments of the Palestinian cause, the Libyan issue and the Sudanese crisis, as the Indonesian minister was keen to listen to the Egypt’s views regarding ways to reach just and comprehensive settlements to the issues and crises of the region in order to achieve the desired stability.
The Indonesian minister affirmed that her country is counting on the important role played by Egypt as a major element of stability in the region, and expressed hope for continued coordination and consultation between the two sides on regional and international issues of common concern.
