CAIRO – Chairman of the Egyptian Export Council for Printing and Packaging Nadim Elias asserted Egypt has great potential in the packaging industry.
He said it is important to achieve a harmony between the industry and environmental conditions, with special focus on recycling.
Elias’s remarks were made at a roundtable under the theme “contribution to circular economy…single-use plastics and alternatives” on the sidelines of the MEA 2024 and Food Africa exhibition.
Elias said it is important to resort to IT solutions and advanced methods to recycle plastic waste in order not to harm other industries, curb the bad impacts of environmental pollution, and further use clean energy.
Over the last eight editions, Food Africa, the International Trade Exhibition for Food & Beverages, has established itself as a global brand developed to create an efficient network between international traders and vendors with their counterparts from Egypt, the MENA, and the African region.
