CAIRO – An Egyptian military plane left from East Cairo air base to Juba airport carrying tonnes of medical and pharmaceutical supplies from the Egyptian Health Ministry to help alleviate the burdens of South Sudan people.
Egypt’s aid comes as part of Cairo’s sustained backing of sisterly countries and upon directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
South Sudan officials, on their part, voiced their full appreciation for the Egyptian State’s efforts to support sisterly countries, asserting that such humanitarian stances have a big impact on the two countries’ ties.
The aid convoy affirms Egypt’s role in supporting the African countries in all tough circumstances and its full solidarity with the African peoples in overcoming their crises.
