Within the framework of the Wasl Al-Khair 2 Initiative, the National Alliance for Civil Development Action launched its first activities for economic empowerment of people of determination in a celebration organised by Orman in co-operation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
In implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the National Alliance launched Tuesday its first activities for the economic empowerment of people of determination, within the framework of Wasl Al-Khair 2 Initiative.
This is being implemented under the umbrella of the participatory work of the National Alliance for Civil Development Action, for which the Orman Association in co-operation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, held a celebration in order to distribute 150 fully equipped booths, and hand them over to the beneficiaries, whose number totals 150 citizens of people of determination from different categories of disabilities, as part of the efforts of the National Alliance.
The economic empowerment axis is considered one of the most important axes of the Wasl Al Khair 2 Initiative, as an amount of LE1.1 billion has been allocated from the budget of the coalition members to economic empowerment projects for families in need until the end of this year. It is worth noting that the National Alliance for Civil Development Work was launched on March 13, 2022, with the participation of civil and development institutions in Egypt.
It includes 24 associations, civil institutions and service and development entities, including the General Federation of NGOs and Institutions, which includes in its membership 30 specific federations and 27 regional federations, working in various fields of development, health, awareness, as well as educational, urban services among others.
