The Decent Life Foundation held several public awareness seminars on Tuesday at Cairo University, Ain Shams University and Benha University about development efforts made on the ground. These seminars come in response to the call by the national dialogue upon civil society organisations to conduct public dialogues in all governorates with various groups.
This is part of the efforts of the National Alliance for Civil Development Action, which the Decent Life Foundation is one of its founders.
These seminars aim to spread the culture of volunteering work among university students. They also include organising field visits to projects, which are being implemented in various villages and cities nationwide. They also aim to give the university students an opportunity to volunteer and participate in the national project for a decent life.
Meanwhile, executive steps will be taken in tandem with these seminars, with the participation of university students in field visits to decent life projects to simulate the reality on the ground. Decent Life Foundation will also benefit from various university specialisations in implementing decent life projects according to the protocol concluded between the Foundation and the National Training Academy.
This comes within the framework of the public awareness role of the Decent Life Foundation in partnership with the Cabinet and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in coordination with the Supreme Council of Universities.
The Decent Life Foundation held the first public awareness seminar for university students and introduced them to the presidential initiative “Decent Life”, at the Faculty of Information Communication, Cairo University, under the title of “Awareness and Introducing the Development Efforts in the National Decent Life Project”.
In this respect, the Decent Life Foundation in the importance of its societal role in promoting the values of development and volunteering work and in spreading the culture of community service among university students through the national “Decent Life” project.
“Decent Life” initiative is the largest development project in the history of Egypt. It aims to bring about a radical change in the lives of the neediest citizens and provide them with comprehensive sustainable development.
