Egypt’s Minister of Emigration Soha Gendy asserted that the 3rd “Egyptian entities abroad” conference, held on Tuesday in the New Administrative Capital, is to review Egypt’s achievements since President Abdel Fattah El Sisi took over and the role of the Ministry of Immigration in contacting with the Egyptian expats and the services presented to them.
In statements to MENA on launching the 3rd conference of Egyptian entities abroad, Gendy said that this important gathering, held in the presence of 346 people including representatives of 45 Egyptian entities from 38 countries around the world, tackles investment and development plans in Egypt and means to merge the Egyptians abroad in light of the keenness of the political leadership on involving them in the new republic.
In light of the major importance given by the political leadership to the Egyptians around the world, the conference discusses unifying the governmental and the public diplomatic efforts that they represent abroad in addition to listening to their proposals and questions in the presence of the representatives of all the ministries and concerned governmental bodies, Gendy said.
The conference includes three sessions on “National Projects and Real Estate Investment Opportunities in Egypt”, “Civil Affairs and Recruitment Services of the Egyptians expatriates” and “Developing Education and the First Insurance on Egyptian expats”, she said.
She reiterated that the Egyptians abroad represent the defense line of Egypt as they protect its interests externally, considering them as an important part of promoting for the national achievements in their host countries.
Gendy asserted that she will work on achieving more communication with the Egyptians abroad and finding new mechanisms to reach this objective, in addition to conducting external tours and visits to know the needs of the Egyptian communities in light of the exceptional circumstances taking place in the world including the pandemics, wars and climate change.
