The National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) on Monday launched the largest volunteer training platform.
The step came in response to directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the need to benefit from the capabilities of Egyptian youth in achieving NACDW goals during 2023.
The alliance will double services for people on limited incomes to cope with the economic crisis, the NACDW said in a statement on Monday, adding that the training platform will give courses to spread the values of volunteering.
The alliance serves more than 30 million Egyptian citizens in facing the negative effects of the global economic crisis.
The NACDW was established in March 2022 when 24 civil associations signed its charter. By the end of the year, the alliance became the best organised, independent gathering of 30,000 associations for development, economic empowerment, and social protection.
The alliance also includes 15,000 partner associations and 30,000 member associations under the General Federation of NGOS.
The federation has 60,000 paid workers and 50,000 unpaid.
