CAIRO – The Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) is an annual cultural event awaited by a large number of people from various ages, said rapporteur of the family committee at the National Dialogue and member at the National Council for Women (NCW) Nesrine el Baghdadi.
In statements to MENA, Baghdadi referred to the significant turnout at the CIBF, saying that despite the current economic challenges, the public is keen on visiting the fair to buy different book genres.
Under the slogan “We Create Knowledge, We Preserve Word,” the current edition of the Cairo International Book Fair will run until February 6.
Held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in New Cairo, the book fair hosts 1,200 publishing houses from 70 countries.
