CAIRO – Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar has attended one of the phases of a two-level external command project, “Sahm-1”, carried out by a formation of the central military zone and running for several days.
The project comes as part of the annual combat drills plan of the Armed Forces formations and units.
Askar conveyed greetings of Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki to the troops of the central military zone, hailing the distinguished performance and high combat efficiency of the participating forces.
Askar engaged in discussions with a number of military commanders and officers participating in the project.
The drills were attended by a number of the top military brass.
