Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maait asserted Sunday that the budget of new fiscal year 2022-2023 exceeds EGP 3 trillion.
Maait said the new budget reflects the keenness of the government to resume the development course and increase the expenses on improving the living conditions of the citizens and the services offered to them in spite of the extreme world crises and their impact on the world economies including Egypt’s.
The budget reflects boosting social protection for the more damaged sector to contribute to decreasing the negative effects of war in Europe so that the state shoulder the biggest burden from the citizens, he said.
In a statement of the Ministry of Finance on Sunday, Maait described this budget as the biggest in the Egyptian history as it exceeds EGP 3 trillion.
