Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin Moustafa conferred with representatives of ZED Group of Oman on aspects of joint co-operation at the premises of the Ministry of Military Production in the New Administrative Capital.
Talks tackled means to expand vistas of co-operation with ZED Group to achieve strategic partnership for the interest of both parties, Moustafa said.
The minister reviewed manufacturing and technological potentials in the companies affiliating to the Ministry of Military Production.
The military production sector always works on developing products of companies, in addition to introducing new products whether by co-operating with local or global companies, he said.
For their part, representatives of the Omani company ZED praised the role of the Ministry of Military Production, particularly in the military and civilian sectors. They voiced their interest in enhancing the strategic partnership with military production companies to exchange expertise and achieve synergy between the two sides, both of which possess advanced manufacturing and technological capabilities.
ZED is one of the largest industrial firms in the Sultanate of Oman, producing a wide range of weapons, including missile launch systems and small arms ammunition, and is involved in various industrial activities with international investments in several countries worldwide.
