Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin Moustafa met on Tuesday in the New Administrative Capital Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučić,and his accompanying delegation.
Moustafa said Egypt’s nationwide development projects provide “huge” investment opportunities for Serbian companies to operate here.
Moustafa also pointed out the experience of military production companies and subsidiaries in military and civil manufacturing.
“The chief aim of the ministry is to meet the requirements of the armed forces in terms of ammunition, weapons and materiel, to use surplus production for civilian use and take part in several development projects nationwide.
Discussions focused on expanding co-operation between military production companies and their Serbian counterparts, while emphasising the importance of exchanging experiences and localising modern manufacturing technology within military production subsidiaries.
The minister extended an invitation to Serbian companies to participate in the 3rdEgypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2023), set to be held in December this year.
For his part, the Serbian defence minister expressed his full appreciation for Egypt’s regional and international role in the hope that the next stage will witness support for new horizons in the fields of military co-operation between his country and Egypt.
