Egypt’s Higher Education Minister Ayman Ashour said Egypt has a strong infrastructure in the fields of higher education and scientific research.
He added that Egypt seeks to benefit from international expertise to further develop the Egyptian higher education mechanism and become distinguished in the education, digitalization and healthcare domains.
He made the remarks during a meeting with a high-ranking delegation of Texas University Medical Branch under University President Jochen Reiser.
The minister welcomed the delegation, stressing the importance of scientific cooperation between Egypt and the US, especially in the fields of higher education, scientific research and innovation.
For his part, Reiser stressed the university’s preparedness to cooperate with Egyptian universities and exchanging expertise.
He added that the university is ready to cooperate with the Egyptian Higher Education Ministry in the fields of science, research and education for the best interests of both sides in order to achieve sustainable development.
He lauded the efforts exerted by the ministry in developing the education process as well as its keenness on cooperating with international universities.
