Twelve countries, including Jordan, Palestine, UAE, Qatar, Sudan and Yemen, will be represented at the event with 70 Egyptian families and 80 of other nationalities. Social solidarity Minister Nevine el-Qabbag described the event as a “golden opportunity to promote Egyptian and Arab handicrafts”.
The fair is being held at the Al-Qubba Presidential Palace, Cairo. Entry is free.
On the fair sidelines, el-Qabbag and Jordan’s Minister of Social Development Wafaa Saeed Ben Moustafa signed the appendix of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for social affairs cooperation which was signed in July 2017.
By the terms of this MoU, Egypt and Jordan will exchange expertise related to family and childcare and care for people with special needs.
