Head of the Arab Authority for Industrialisation (AOI) Abdel Moniem El Terras underlined the importance of implementing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to enhance constructive co-operation among the various state bodies to utilise their manufacturing potentials in achieving a comprehensive development at home and at the Arab and African levels as part of Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030.
These remarks were made by Terras at the signing of a co-operation agreement between AOI and the Egyptian Agency Of Partnership For Development (EAPD), affiliated with the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
During the signing ceremony, Terras praised the role of EAPD in expanding Egypt’s presence in Africa as well as enhancing ties with all African states along with backing the efforts exerted to achieve sustainable development goals.
He also pointed out to Egypt’s efforts to co-operate with the South-South co-operation countries in Africa in the various fields.
Terras also explained that he agreed with EAPD on bolstering cooperation to meet the needs of African states especially regarding the infrastructure, water treatment, gas and solar energy projects along with digital transformation, mechanized services among others.
Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary General of EAPD Minister Plenipotentiary Hisham El Mekwad commended the role of AOI and its vast expertise in implementing the various industrial and economic development projects at home and in Africa, noting that its vast technological and human expertise is highly required in view of its high standards and accurate implementation rates.
