Another 52 Egyptian-Japanese schools are to be built nationwide, the education ministry announced on Sunday.
Minister of Education and Technical Education Tarek Shawki said in press statements that the new additions would bring the total of Egyptian-Japanese school to 100.
About 37,000 schools across the nation have been renovated in recent months, the minister said, adding that new schools will be built to reduce overcrowded classes.
The most recently opened Egyptian-Japanese school is in el-Arish, North Sinai.
While the curricula delivered in schools are Egyptian, the holistic approach known as tokkatsu is designed to make students more independent and have a positive self-image.
