AMMAN – The five-way brotherly meeting in El Alamein city, that brought together the leaders of Egypt, the UAE, Bahrain, Iraq and Jordan is meant to provide a “lifejacket” to face current Arab challenges and crises, according to Jordanian political experts and analysts.
Speaking to MENA Monday they said that the meeting comes at an important timing amid several challenges facing the region including domestic crises and external problems that have taken their toll on the world and the whole Arab region, such as the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and its repercussions on the global economy.
They said the leaders of the five countries took part in the gathering at invitations by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, who underscored Egypt’s utmost and greater interest in enhancing Arab cooperation to overcome the mounting challenges.
The leaders seek to find solutions to crises, alleviate the bad impacts of the global economic crisis and exchange viewpoints regarding international, Arab and regional issues, with special focus on crises facing some Arab countries, according to them.
