CAIRO – The Arab League (AL) general secretariat convened Sunday at the level of permanent representatives to assess the performance of Arab co-operation forums with regional groups.
The meeting took up proposals by member states to coordinate collective efforts that would positively contribute to establishing strong partnerships that would enhance joint co-operation.
The permanent representatives stressed the need to outline a comprehensive strategy including specific and mechanisms of action to guarantee future forums will act to achieve set goals.
They agreed that today’s meeting is an important step toward boosting co-operation and communication among Arab countries and regional blocs.
