The Arab League (AL) Council will hold an extraordinary meeting at the level of permanent delegates on Sunday.
The meeting is chaired by Yemen and comes at the behest of Iraq.
The meeting aims to discuss the Israeli threats against Iraq to drag the region into a regional war, AL Assistant Secretary General Hossam Zaki said in statements on Saturday.
Zaki added that the AL’s General Secretariat received a request from Iraq to hold the meeting and asserted several countries backed the Iraqi request.
