Egyptian Minister of Agriculture El Sayyed El Qusseir announced Tuesday that 287,000 tonnes of fodder, including maize and soya beans, worth around 143 million dollars have been released over the past week.
A statement released by the Agriculture Ministry said that the move comes in implementation of directives to release all commodities stocked at the different ports.
Qusseir said the released fodder comprised 212,000 tonnes of maize worth 84 million dollars, and 75,000 tonnes of soya beans worth $57 million plus other supplements worth about $2 million.
