Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Elsayed Mohammed Marzouk Al-Qusayr said Egypt seeks to achieve the highest level of Arab agricultural and food integration.
The minister’s statements came during a meeting of the Arab agriculture ministers that kicked off on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Arab League’s General Secretariat.
Qusayr met with Arab League General Secretary Ahmed Abul Gheit to discuss the files of food security and agricultural development in the Arab world.
Qusayr said that food security crisis is one the serious challenges that encounter developing and developed countries alike.
He added that Arab countries should search for new tools to increase agricultural productivity and set up more comprehensive and stronger agrarian systems.
