Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit has expressed deep sadness at the conditions of Palestinian children who were subjected to atrocities committed by Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip since October 7.
This came during Abul Gheit’s visit to Sidra Pediatric Hospital in Doha that receives a number of injured children from the enclave.
Abul Gheit, who is in Qatar to attend a number of important meetings, was accompanied by Qatari Minister of International Co-operation Lolwah bint Rashid al Khater.
Abul Gheit thanked the Qatari government for its humanitarian efforts to ease the impact of the catastrophic war on Gaza.
Abul Gheit visited some patients in the hospital, which presents international health services, Spokesman for the Arab League Secretary General Gamal Roshdi said.
Khater apprised Abul Gheit of the humanitarian efforts exerted by Qatar to handle the victims of the genocide taking place against the Palestinians.
She said that the Qatari government treats, in cooperation with the relief bodies, 1,500 injured Palestinian children who are in critical conditions.
Qatar allocated equipped residential centers to receive the children whose conditions do not need staying in the hospitals, she said.
