The 34th session of the Council of Arab Transport Ministers kicked off here on Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Jordanian Transport Minister Wajih Azaiza.
The meeting will discuss a number of topics related to the Arab transport sector, including means of supporting the Palestinian economy.
Participants will also review a report of the first meeting of the technical committee tasked with supervising the implementation of the Arab agreement regulating the transport of passengers on roads between Arab countries.
They will also mull Egypt’s proposal to set up a comprehensive electronic platform for managing transport and logistics systems among Arab countries.
The session will also witness the election of members of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Transport Ministers for a two-year term starting from October 2021.
