CAIRO – Egyptian exports to the United States reached 1.9 billion dollars in 2023 against 2.3 billion dollars in 2022, marking a decrease of 15.5%, according to data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The Egyptian exports to US represent 4.6% of the country’s exports to world countries.
The Egyptian exports of readymade clothes came first and hit 53.1% of the total exports to US.
Meanwhile, Egypt’s imports from US reached 5.4 billion dollars in 2023 and represent 6.4% of the country’s imports to world countries, compared to 6.9 billion dollars in 2022 with a decline of 22.7%.
Key Egyptian imports from US were grains, oil seeds and medical plants.
