CAIRO – Head of Egypt’s Administrative Control Authority (ACA) Amr Adel asserted Egypt’s keenness on supporting African efforts to prevent and combat corruption and increase awareness about its risks along with encouraging African states to adopt influential mechanisms to combat corruption.
ACA chief’s remarks were made after meeting with a delegation of The African Union Advisory Board on Corruption (AUABC) under Chairperson Seynabou Ndiaye Diakhate and five members of the board. The delegation is currently on a visit to Egypt to review the progress achieved in implementing the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption.
ACA chief welcomed the African delegation and appreciated the fruitful cooperation among the bodies implementing law.
Meanwhile, AUABC delegation met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli in his capacity as chief of the National Anti-Corruption Committee in the new government premises in the New Administrative Capital.
During the meeting, the premier asserted Egypt’s commitment to all international, regional and national conventions relevant to combating corruption.
The African delegation paid a visit to the premises of the National Academy for Combating Corruption to get briefed on its vision and message and know about its expertise in the field of preventing corruption. They were also briefed on the training courses offered by the academy.
