CAIRO – The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that it raised the cap for daily cash withdrawals from bank branches for both individuals and companies to 250,000 pounds.
It also increases the maximum limit for daily withdrawals for individuals from ATMs at LE30,000, the CBE said in a letter sent to all banks on Monday.
In the letter, the CBE urged the banks to review the internal policy to include the new limits, along with updating the policy of maximum limits for cash withdrawals in foreign currencies as per that set by the banks and approved by the Board of Directors and to periodically update it.
