CAIRO – An emergency meeting of the Arab League Council kicked off on Wednesday at the permanent delegates’ level under the chairmanship of Egypt’s permanent delegate Ambassador Mohamed Moustafa Arfi.
Egypt is the current chair of the council at the ministerial level.
Assistant Arab League Minister Hossam Zaki attended the meeting in which AL permanent delegates or their representatives attended.
The meeting falls within the framework of efforts to adopt a unified Arab stand in the face of the Israeli hostilities in Al Aqsa Mosque, especially yesterday’s attack on worshipers.
