CAIRO – Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry made a telephone call to Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said that Shoukry congratulated his Tunisian counterpart on assuming his new post.
Abu Zeid added the foreign minister underscored the need of maintaining efforts to boost bilateral relations and joint cooperation along with promoting coordination and consultation on international and regional issues of mutual concern.
Shoukry said he is looking forward to meeting the Tunisian foreign minister as soon as possible, said the spokesman.
Abu Zeid said Shoukry reiterated to his Tunisian counterpart Egypt’s full support for stability, security and prosperity of Tunisia.
