The national project to preserve the entity of the Egyptian family, known as “Mawada”, has carried out its first training camp for the residents of the developed areas in Alexandria, with the participation of men of religion.

The move came under the auspices of Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine el-Qabbag, in co-operation with the German Agency for International Co-operation (GIZ).

Director of the Mawada initiative, Randa Fares, said that the project conductsa four-day training camp in the city of Borj Al Arab, targeting young trainees from developed areas of Asmara 1, 2 and Bashir al-Khair 1, 2, 3.

Mawadda platform was launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi during the World Youth Forum in December 2019.

The project is targeting females aged between 18 and 45 from school and university students, children in villages and rural areas, men of religion, preachers and nuns.

The Mawada project seeks to combine efforts to preserve the Egyptian family unity by providing youth with the necessary information to form a family and resolve any possible disagreements, reducing the possibility of divorce.
