The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) is hosting a photo exhibition of the works of Italian film director Pier Paolo Pasolini to celebrate the centenary of his birth.
Actor Hussein Fahmy, who is president of the 44thCairo Film Festival attended the exhibition opening along with festival director Amir Ramses, film historian and curator Dominique Laura and director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo.

Hussein Fahmy said the Cairo International Film Festival has been interested in cinema and its makers since its establishment.
Students of cinema are always keen on such exhibitions to know more about the history of prominent filmmakers, Fahmy said.
A number of Pasolini’s restored films will be screened at the festival.
The festival, which runs until November 22, is showingover 100 movies from 52 countries.
