Borg El Arab International Airport succeeded in renewing the airport license for a period of two years as part of the keenness of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Egyptian Airports Company to apply the highest standards of safety and security and to comply with the legislation of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and the instructions of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA).
Ahmed Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Airports Company, stated that the renewal of the Borg El Arab International Airport license is a great achievement that reflects the keenness and commitment of all employees to apply the SMS safety management system and apply the standard rules of annex 14 and ECAR 139 legislation under the supervision of pilot Hisham Farid, the airport manager.
He added that the emphasis on the awareness of all airport employees of the safety culture and the concerted efforts of all airport employees is what led to maintaining this level of commitment to international standards and systems.
