SHARM EL SHEIKH – Egypt’s Agriculture Minister el Sayyed el Qusair asserted that Egypt is one of the most efficient countries in reusing wastewater thanks to the wastewater treatment stations that were built in Egypt recently.

Qusair’s remarks came during the session of Adaptation and Resilience on the sidelines of the activities of the 5th day of COP 27 climate conference.

Qusair pointed out to the stations recently implemented in Egypt for the re-treatment of agricultural wastewater.

Egypt is working on establishing a new station for water treatment with the capacity of 7.6 million cubic meters daily, Qusair said, asserting the necessity that educational curriculum would include climate changes, smart planting and digital agriculture in addition to all the issues related to agriculture systems for its great importance to achieve food security in Egypt.
