Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Minister of Defence and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki asserted that the Armed Forces and Police are considered “protective shield of the nation” and guards of the country’s security and stability.
The minister’s remarks were made on Tuesday during his meeting with Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik who led a delegation of the ministry to offer greetings to Zaki on the 49th anniversary of October war victory.
During the meeting, Tawfik asserted that October war victory will remain a unique myth in the history of the Egyptian military and a witness on the sacrifices of the Army personnel.
Tawfik also presented the Police Authority Shield to the defense minister and Chief of Staff General Osama Askar.
The meeting was attended by a galaxy of top military brass and officials of the Interior Ministry.
